Event Volunteer

Purpose of role:

To provide on or off-site assistance during events in support of the TBDHS

Qualifications:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older (OR be accompanied by a parent/guardian if 14-18)
  • Comfortable with interacting with the general public and animals (i.e adoption fairs)
  • Able to work with minimal or no supervision
  • Able to communicate with CEC if any issues arise
  • Must have excellent time management
  • Comfortable with handling money and Moneris (debit) machine where applicable
  • Represent the TBDHS in a professional matter
  • Follow directions set by CEC or TBDHS staff including set up and take down instructions

Time Commitment:

Minimum 6 Month Commitment (will depend on when events are scheduled)

 

As per TBDHS recruitment expectations, Volunteers must complete:

TBDHS Volunteer application form

Interview with Community Engagement Coordinator (in-person, Zoom or Facetime)

Once accepted, complete an in-person tour and orientation
